The Nike LeBron 21 'Tahitian' takes cues from the Tahitian pearl, a saltwater gem also known as the black pearl. These basketball shoes have a black mesh upper encased in an outer shell made with a velvet-like synthetic material. The heel panel and the back portion of the midsole have an iridescent green finish representative of the Tahitian pearl's color range. A Cushlon midsole pairs with a plastic shank for midfoot stability, while Zoom Air units in the forefoot and heel provide all-around cushioning.
